Cancellations | Absences | Lateness
We do not require payment in advance nor do we require that you sign an extended contract. However, we do have a few basic rules to insure that our pay-as-you-go policy remains viable. Please read carefully so that you know and understand what is expected.
Cancellation Policy: When you schedule a lesson we reserve that block of time for you to the exclusion of other students. You must provide us with at least 24 hours notice when canceling a lesson or you will be billed for the lesson and your scheduled slot will become available to other students. This does not apply to winter weather related cancellations or medical emergencies.
Absences: Successful learning and maintaining a high level of motivation depends on the continuity of regularly occurring lessons. Frequent absence interferes with the learning process. Two consecutive unexcused absences or more than four unexcused absences in a quarter will result in a student being dropped from our roles. Make-up lessons for missed lessons are expected to be scheduled when possible.
Lateness: Please be considerate of our other students who have scheduled lessons after yours. We cannot extend your scheduled time slot because you arrive late. Lessons are structured to accomplish specific goals. We have some flexibility in compressing a lesson into less time than normally scheduled, but not limitless flexibility. If you are more than 10 minutes late for a scheduled lesson, you will be considered absent. You will be billed as if you canceled the lesson with less than 24 hours notice unless you reschedule in the same week.
